Mr. Beat is looking for a project-based Production Assistant in Lawrence, KS to support video shoots, interviews, and speaking events.
Responsibilities
- Set up and tear down cameras, microphones, lighting, and other production equipment.
- Help organize and prepare filming locations before production begins.
- Assist with audio and video equipment during filming.
- Greet and communicate with members of the public, interview guests, venue staff, and event organizers in a professional manner.
- Help keep productions running smoothly by anticipating needs and solving problems.
- Load, unload, and transport production equipment.
- Assist with speaking events, presentations, and other production-related tasks as needed.
- Perform other production and event support duties as assigned.
- Must live in or near Lawrence, Kansas.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as an independent contractor.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry production equipment (up to approximately 50 pounds).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working with the public and representing the Mr. Beat brand professionally.
- Experience with video production, photography, live events, or AV equipment.
- Familiarity with cameras, microphones, tripods, and basic lighting.
- Interest in history, civics, education, or digital media.
